About VegEco
VegEco (vegeco.org) is an independent nonprofit publication for a kinder, cooler, more sustainable world. We cover plant-based living, animal rights, factory farming, climate change and the wildlife and ecosystems we share the planet with — in 22 languages.
Why we exist
How we eat, dress, travel and shop is the single biggest lever ordinary people have on the climate crisis, on the suffering of more than 80 billion farmed animals a year, and on the wild species being pushed off the planet. We report on that lever, in plain language, with evidence.
What we publish
Long-form features, explainers, science recaps, ethical guides, and recipes. Every article is researched, structured for both humans and answer engines, and written for a general adult audience that wants to understand — not be lectured.
22 editions, one mission
Each language edition is written natively, not machine-translated. From English and Mandarin to Hindi, Arabic, Swahili and Persian, every reader gets journalism in the language they think in.

VegEco takes no advertising and no industry money. The newsletter is free. Reader and donor support keeps the publication independent.
